Lichen and mushroom walk

Sunday, August 31, 1 p.m.

Somerset County Conservancy Members:

Fun fact … lichens grow on rocks, trees, and soils, worldwide, and they can absorb atmospheric pollutants.  Wow!  Not only are lichens a “fun” “guy” (fungi)  but also work hard to ensure our air quality is pure.  They are an asset to our quality of life and an important part of the ecosystem.

A lichen and mushroom walk has been scheduled for Sunday, August 31, 1 p.m., at Kimberly Run main parking lot on Craig Road, Somerset, PA.

Tom McCoy, out of Washington, D.C., will lead the walk.

No RSVP required.

Bring the kids.  This is a great family event.

Hope you can join us!
